Relax to the sound of our babbling brook (beck), in a tranquil, private setting; yet stay only 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Beckside is also close to all the major tourist attractions on Vancouver's North Shore.
Our guests love to cross the bridge with a cold drink or cup of tea and sit by the stream after a day sight-seeing. I often hear people after dark across the stream, sitting in the garden, chatting and listening to the 'beck'.
Beckside features the English Cottage and The Heather Room.
The English Cottage is a newly decorated, self-contained one-bedroom suite with queen bed. The living/dining roomhas a t.v.dvd, vcr, a beautiful gas fireplace, a full kitchen and new 4 piece bath. The English Cottage also has its own entrance and a large, private deck .Extra sleeping accommodation available in the living room. Guests eat a full, gourmet-style breakfast on their own deck overlooking our mountain stream and very private backyard.
The Heather Room is a large,beautifully decorated bedroom with queen bed and 4 piece newly renovated en suite bath. There is a t.v., mini fridge, coffee and tea making in the room. Recently a romantic European -style balcony has been added , accessed by double French doors. This provides Heather Room guests with their own, private space to relax on after a hectic day of visiting the sights.
Guests eat a full, gourmet-style breakfast either in our dining room or else on the deck overlooking our beautiful ,private backyard. You are invited to cross the bridge and sit by the 'beck'. The living room with gas fireplace is available for relaxation and reading in.
Beckside features home baking, delicious breakfasts, thoughtful suggestions for your holiday in Vancouver, a friendly, relaxed atmosphere combined with pleasant, knowledgable hosts who have been greeting visitors from around the world for the past 15 years. We live in a beautiful, safe and quiet neighbourhood with excellent public transit close by. Children are welcome and pets considered with prior approval.
