Originally known as Bridge Creek in the days of the fur trade.   Located 100 miles from Lillooet, little Bridge Creek became known as 100 Mile House  when it became a Stage Coach stop during the Gold Rush.

Today 100 Mile House remains an important service centre for the Southern Cariboo.

Gateway to the great outdoors, 100 Mile House professes to be the International Nordic Ski Capital with a 150 km groomed trail system (some night-lit).
