Lake Okanagan is a great attraction to boaters, water sports enthusiasts, and vacationers from across Canada. This lake is one of the clearest (free from surface level debris) and warmest lakes in BC which is why it is such a haven for boaters and water sports enthusiasts.
Many vacation rental cottages are right on the water, and have docks where you can securely keep your boat during the duration of your stay.
These are all scattered along the shores of Lake Okanagan, in their own little communities the most popular being: Carrs Landing, Winfield, Okanagan Center, Killiney Beach, Fintry, Mckinley Landing, West Bank, Peachland, Lake View Heights, Naramata, Penticton, and of course Kelowna.
Water Sports Are Made For Lake Okanagan

To add to the lake and water sports culture, there are a number of surf/lake shops that sell great quality beach and summer apparel to keep you cool and looking great!
Explore The Area: Wineries & Dining
If the water isn’t your thing, then there are plenty of Wineries and local Orchards to visit instead (there are 27 wineries within the communities listed above).
Each Winery offers tours, and most have beautiful restaurants located on the premises to have dinner at afterwards. These have spectacular views of the vineyards, valley, and of course of Lake Okanagan.
Orchards are in abundance in the Lake Okanagan area because of the fertile soil and warm temperatures. There are 22 to choose from and many offer their unique ‘U-Pick’ seasons during July and August, where you get to pick the fruit of your choice! Come discover Lake Okanagan!
